Hazardous Substance Monitoring

To determine if engineered controls are working to maintain acceptable levels of exposure in the workplace or to establish the need for administrative controls or to determine the appropriate personal protective equipment, hazardous substances must be monitored and quantified by a qualified party.  WSS Industrial Hygienists can perform exposure surveys for many chemical substances.  Examples of common monitoring include the following:
