This course emphasizes the importance of employee cooperation in reporting accidents and how they play a key role in a successful accident investigation. It explains to employees how management can use the results of quality accident investigations to improve on-the-job safety and help prevent recurrence of accidents. Participants are given a five-point action plan explaining how they can react more effectively when an accident occurs. Course topics include how to assess a situation and get help, how to avoid distorting the evidence at the scene of an accident, the importance of recording all the details of an accident for proper reporting, notifying the proper authorities and how to contribute to the investigation. |
