Bloodborne Pathogens in the Workplace

This course addresses the requirements for industrial and healthcare employees who may be exposed to blood or other potentially harmful bodily fluids at work.  Topics include definitions of bloodborne diseases, workplace transmission, sanitation issues, reducing risk to exposure, safe work practices, personal protective equipment, housekeeping, HBV vaccinations and much more.  HIV and AIDS issues are discussed with regard to the potential risks, transmission and prevention methods to be used in the workplace.
