DOT Hazardous Materials Basics

This course addresses the DOT training requirement for employees handling, shipping, receiving or transporting hazardous materials in the workplace.  This course also includes the new DOT security and anti-terrorism training module.  It incorporates training on how to comply with 49 CFR 172.704 initial and recurrent requirements.  Topics covered include general and revised HazMat regulations as amended by HM-222A and HM-222B, the Hazardous Materials Table, required shipping and driver documentation, labeling of hazardous materials for transportation, loading and storage and emergency response procedures.  It offers your firm an opportunity to evaluate your compliance efforts while fulfilling mandatory recurrent training requirements.
