Fire Extinguisher Use and Fire Prevention Training

This course shows employees how they can help reduce the risk of fire and what to do in the event of one.  Topics include how to properly store and use flammable liquids, as well as the best way to dispose of oil, paint and grease-soaked materials.  Participants review OSHA’s top ten reasons why most workplace fires occur and how to minimize the chances of a fire occurring in their workplace.  Employees learn how to properly select and use a portable fire extinguisher.  In the 4-hour course, students participate in a hands-on “live burn” demonstration with instructors.
